Good news: Illegal off-road bike seized in St Athan |
||
|
Good afternoon,
Over the past two weeks we have received several calls reporting a black off-road bike being ridden dangerously around St Athan.
Thanks to a bit of old-fashioned detective work and help from local residents I was able to locate and seize the bike in question this morning, which will now be crushed.
We understand that the illegal use of off-road bikes can cause significant anti-social behaviour, pose a danger to other road users and pedestrians, and damage parks, footpaths and open spaces.
This stands as an example of how information from local residents helps officers identify areas experiencing problems and take action against illegal and anti-social riding.
Members of the public are encouraged to continue report any information they have about nuisance bikes - either as it happens or any information on where bikes are being kept to us via 101.
Kind regards,
Harrison SWP58524
